The Alabama Beta chapter of Phi Kappa Psi has worked hard to re-establish itself on the Auburn Campus. As the youngest chapter at Auburn, we have made great strides towards excellence in scholarship, intramural sports, and leadership. However, we put our greatest efforts into forging a strong brotherhood. Brotherhood is a responsibility that can be difficult at times, but one that can be a priceless experience. There are many opportunities to impact the community, gain valuable leadership experience, and make life-long friendships.
Scholarship is one of our main priorities at Alabama Beta. We strive to make sure our members and new members are succeeding academically. We are consistently in the top 10 out of 26 fraternity organizations on our campus for GPA rankings.
A very interesting fact is that fraternity men and sorority women have historically had a higher GPA and graduation rate than those who were not involved in an organization.
We Strongly encourage involvement inside and outside of the fraternity. Members should take advantage of Alumni events, formals, retreats, and socials as networking opportunities within the fraternity. We also encourage members to get involved on campus. A majority of our members are involved in things outside of the fraternity such as SGA and IFC or campus organizations such as Auburn University College Republicans, Auburn University College Democrats, Auburn Real Estate Society, Honors Congress, Auburn Plainsmen, and we also participate in a volunteer program called IMPACT which heads many projects in the Auburn community including volunteer work at animal shelters and preservation of a local creek.
